Emerging from quarantine in 2023, Alisshia and Doris, originally from Detroit, decided to specialize in custom balloon setups and throne chair rentals. Doris enhanced her skills through online courses and in-person classes, while Alisshia’s background as an Engineer and risk assessment expert ensures the structural integrity of each balloon project. By June 2022, Small & Mighty was in high demand, providing custom balloons for major events such as Portland’s Pride Parade and working with organizations like Nike Moms, the Urban League of Portland, and the Portland Trailblazers. Today, Alisshia and Doris are dedicated to building their brand, giving back to the community, and participating in local organizations including The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the Black Business Association of Oregon. A Music Video that would capture Roy's story and the painful events that fed into his addiction told from the perspective of a man who commits suicide and finds himself in a purgatory between life and death, reliving the conditions and events that led to his addiction and tragic end. I’m proud of the impact that he continues to make in this generation as a public figure and community activist. He’s now 6 years clean and sober, a homeowner, and director of the community care team with the non-profit POIC (Portland opportunity industrialization center).
 

Na'eem Hall is a passionate entrepreneur who was inspired by his best friend, Roy Moore, known as 3rd Twin, to establish Thorn City Syndicate. Drawing from his invaluable experience working alongside Roy, Na'eem leveraged his skills to propel Roy's music career to new heights. From booking shows, and managing his brand, to producing the award-winning music video for the "Honesty" EP, Na'eem played a pivotal role in helping Roy achieve success.

 

The impactful music video narrated Roy's story, delving into the painful events that fueled his addiction. Depicting a man caught between life and death, reliving the circumstances that led to his tragic end, the video resonated with audiences and garnered accolades at film festivals nationwide and internationally.

 

Na'eem takes great pride in witnessing the enduring impact Roy continues to have as a prominent figure in this generation, serving as a public figure and community activist. Roy's journey of overcoming addiction and achieving milestones, such as being clean and sober for over six years, becoming a homeowner, and serving as the director of the community care team at the non-profit POIC (Portland Opportunity Industrialization Center), is a testament to his resilience and determination.

 

With a wealth of experience gained through collaborating with Roy, Na'eem embraces his entrepreneurial spirit and carries forward the mission of Thorn City Syndicate.
